The primary objective of the Patrol Division is to improve the quality of life for our citizens through proactive patrols and prompt, professional, and effective response to calls for service, emergencies, and crimes in progress. Working hand-in-hand with our community, our uniformed officers employ strategies and direct enforcement activities to prevent crime and enhance the peace and safety within our City. Patrol officers are the department’s ‘front-line’ law enforcement personnel that patrol our neighborhoods, commercial and clerical districts, and roadways twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
