Shop With A Cop 2025

The Cayce Police Department welcomes the opportunity to work with families in our community, who may not have the same opportunities as other children. Shop With a Cop is one of the ways we strive to strengthen our community and reach out to these families.

Our department utilizes this program to reinforce a positive police experience for the children and their families alike. Through the generous donations to the Cayce Public Safety Foundation, we can take children in need Christmas shopping, allowing them to purchase gifts for themselves (and many chose to buy gifts for family members as well). Through the generosity of our partner, Lizard Thicket each child will also be provided breakfast which they will eat alongside the Cayce Police Officers. Applications will be accepted at the Cayce Police Department, or click the link below, download the form and email the completed form to Sgt. Riley at [email protected]

The Community Action Team (C.A.T.) is made up of highly trained, specialized officers dedicated to using community-oriented policing strategies to address law enforcement challenges across the City of Cayce. But C.A.T. is more than just an extension of traditional policing—it’s a proactive partnership with the community.

Each district within Cayce is assigned dedicated officers who regularly attend community meetings, build relationships, and gather valuable insight into the specific concerns and needs of their areas. This localized information is then shared with other divisions of the Police Department, ensuring a unified, informed approach to public safety.

Through consistent involvement in neighborhood activities, C.A.T. members become familiar, trusted faces among community leaders, religious and civic groups, and local organizations. They serve not only as law enforcement professionals but as advocates and allies. The ultimate mission of the C.A.T. program is to strengthen the most effective tool in policing—true unity between law enforcement and the community we serve.

Community Action Team (C.A.T.) Mission Statement

The Community Action Team, part of the Community Services Division, is dedicated to building strong, trust-based relationships between law enforcement and the citizens we serve. Our mission is to proactively address community concerns by engaging with residents, local businesses, and park-goers, and by maintaining an approachable, visible presence in neighborhoods and public spaces. Through regular attendance at community meetings and direct interaction with citizens, we gather valuable insights to better understand and respond to the unique needs of each area. By fostering ongoing communication, we reduce safety concerns, enhance quality of life, and strengthen the bond between the City of Cayce and its community. Guided by the principles of cooperation, transparency, and mutual respect, we are committed to creating a safer, more connected Cayce for all.

Prom Promise

We have partnered with Lexington School District Two to present a mock DUI fatality incident to Airport and Brookland Cayce High School Seniors before prom. This event is used to promote awareness of the dangers of underage drunk driving. We would like to thank the many organizations that helped us make this a success.
