The goal of the Citizens’ Advisory Committee is to increase the department’s professionalism and accountability to the citizens of Cayce. Members will review and provide valuable, objective input on citizen complaints, disciplinary actions and internal policies and procedures.
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee meets on a quarterly basis and will be comprised of a diverse cross-section of Cayce residents, including ministers, retired military veterans, school administrators, and community leaders. Members are appointed by the Chief of Police and must agree to a twelve-month tenure on the committee.
